I noticed this hanging on the daycare bulletin board this afternoon… so proud of our little girl and her love of art.

Tonight was Daddy Daughter Night, and we had fun by having a little painting party. Surprisingly, the vast majority of the paint made it on the intended target, and clean up was kept to a minimum. In addition we both had a lot of fun and shared some laughs. Now that’s what I call a Friday night party.
I don’t know if this “technically” counts as a photo of the day, but if not, I’m willing to cheat in this case. The other day a friend of mine asked if I’d be willing to do a bit of design work for a project she was putting together. I jumped at the chance for various reasons… I like this friend, I like doing design work, and I love the mission of the project.

Today we kept the Bug home from daycare, as she was up most of the night… how should I say… not feeling well. It was quickly apparent that whatever had her sick in the wee hours of the morning had passed by mid-morning, and now she was really just bored and tired of dad. So it was off to the backyard for a bit of art time. I figured doing something outside, yet low key would help both our moods. I was right!

Our little budding artist. Not sure exactly what this is supposed to be… a mermaid? A seal? The Statue of Liberty? I’m not sure???
