Project 365 (day 53)

Working on a poster to visually represent what it means to live a life marked by loyalty.

The girls added a lion to their poster. Does anyone know why a lion and loyalty are connected?

  1. I believe that the lion is traditionally a symbol representing power, courage, royalty, might, pride, strength, boldness and protection. Although if you look at it as the astrological symbol of Leo, one of the attributes associated with Leos is loyalty. The lion is also a representation of Jesus or St.Mark, depending on the context of the imagery.

    • Teresa, thanks for the info here, I knew there was a connection, but I couldn’t remember exactly what the connection was or what the whole story behind the connection was.
