Pray for the Nations (day 20)

Today, day 20, is one third of the way into our prayer journey for 60 days. Over these past 20 days I’ve gained such a deeper understanding of and appreciation for what God is doing in the world. It’s so easy to become tunnel-visioned and only consider “your” world, and what is or isn’t happening there. But when you begin to consider the whole world and the move of God across the whole of the world, you begin to get a real sense of the greatness of God.

It’s so easy to be caught up in praying for ourselves; our wants, needs, desires, hopes, dreams. But when you stop and shift those prayers to people you’ll likely never meet but know have similar wants, needs, desires, hopes and dreams; it’s powerful. In only twenty days I’ve become more spiritually aware of that which is around me, and even more I’m finding my attention shifting outward and off of myself. For the record, I view this as something good… very good in fact. As there are still 40 days to go in this journey, I await what’s to come with open arms.

Today’s prayer country is Greece:
