Hello Again

Page CXVI_hymnsMuch like the hint of spring dew, warm on the air that tickles the olfactories of the sleeping bear, bidding him to awaken from his winter slumber. I too have been awoken and bid to again return to writing here.

What has bid me awake you ask? Not some hopeless new years resolution, determining to write more. I’ve already tried that and failed. No. Rather I’ve been awoken by a song. More so a host of songs. Thanks to RELEVANT Magazine, and their Jan/Feb 2013 issue, I’ve been introduced to the sounds of Page CXVI. A hauntingly beautiful redeeming of ol’ familiar hymns sparked to life by fresh, yet familiar arrangements.

As I listened to song after song I fell more and more in love with what I heard. I couldn’t soak these familiar songs in fast enough, if I’m being honest. One song, in particular, has fully gripped both my attention and my stirring soul. Enjoy Page CXVI’s arrangement of Come Thou Fount… simply beautiful.

I am bound for the Kingdom, won’t you come with me?
I am bound for the Kingdom, won’t you come with me?
I am bound for the Kingdom, won’t you come with me?
I am bound for the Kingdom, won’t you come with me?
Hallelujah we sing.
Hallelujah we sing.
Hallelujah we sing.
